2170 SJX Jon Boat

The 2170 SJX is a tunnel hull jet boat designed for extreme low water operations. By utilizing speed, ultra maneuverability, and survivability the SJX 2170 has endless varieties of applications. Whether its transportation, recreational use, hunting, fishing, or work the 21’ SJX will take you places where the other competitor’s boats can’t. The 2170 SJX are fast, agile, and lightweight aluminum tunnel hulled water crafts. Each boat is built from heavy duty materials and constructed with the strength in mind. All flat sheet materials are cutout using precision cutting equipment. This allows us to ensure each boat is flawless in the fitting of the construction and welding. We use continuous welding in all of our hull stiffeners and box runners. This is a time consuming process that few competitors do because of time and cost, but we feel that it’s worth giving our customers the best product we can build! All SJX Boats provide heavy load capacity, unmatched maneuverability and brutal acceleration that get’s the boat on plane instantly! Our boats are powered by a Mercury 200hp DFI SportJet Engine and matching jet pump (for more info). Every boat comes standard with a tough stainless steel impeller and modified reverse gate that allows you double the reverse power of a standard SportJet. A combination of the 6ft wide bottom, seven degree V, and dead rise enable the SJX to carry heavy loads in extreme low water conditions. The seven degree flare also allows the SJX to handle exceptionally well in any water conditions. Exposed gravel shoals are no match for the SJX, with the UHMW bottom protection and adequate speed you can slide over just about anything. There is very low loss of forward progress due to the optional low friction UHMW bottom protection. The low slung design and optional fold down windshields allow the craft to navigate under low bridges of hanging debris, tree’s, and fouled areas.

The 2170 SJX is designed to support commercial and construction operations in Alaska’s shallow interior rivers where debris and seasonal conditions result in unpredictable, dangerous, and changing conditions. A robust design utility boat that is capable of carrying a tremendous payload far up river and out of reach of any ordinary water craft. The SJX can easily be trailered, launched and recovered by a single individual.

The boats can be configured for a number of electronic options whether it’s recreational, commercial or military/law enforcement use. The three windshield console configuration offers protection from the elements that you might encounter along the way. And for added protection we offer a fully enclosed canvas folding top that can easily be assembled or stowed away at anytime. A heater kit can be installed to any boat for added comfort when you’re out on those cold days. All SJX recreational boats come standard with ATV loading ramps, which allow you to load your ATV in the front cargo area of the boat. All models of boats come standard with built-in 2” bow and stern receiver sockets. These sockets allow for a variety applications. A few examples of what can be used in the receiver sockets are gas powered portable winch, BBQ mount, or a wheel kit jack. And because they are a standard 2” universal mount you can decide whether you want to use one or all of the options available for the sockets. The wheel kit is a newer option that has only been around for a few years now, and is only offered through a few manufactures. The wheel kit is an add-on that can be use when you get to an impassable spot on the river or waterway. Once you get to that spot you insert your transom jack into the receiver socket and then run the jack down until the boat is raised up enough to insert the “flat free” tires into the wheel kit sockets. Once the tires are mounted in the sockets you drop the jack back down and now you have a lightweight boat with two tires mounted and ready for moving. You can either use the gas powered portable winch to pull yourself across the problem area, or just get out and push it across. Other applications for the 2170 SJX are Military, Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue operations. The heavy duty, yet lightweight construction along with UHMW bottom protection make the SJX ideal for shallow water pursuit, patrol, rapid response situations where water depth may limit other types of water craft. Any model of the SJX Jet Boat line can be outfitted with side pedestals and bow mount MK16 Mod II Tripod. This makes these boats ideal for armed escorts, direct fire support, intercept, and scout/patrol riverine type operations.
